Marie Louise Hamilton (Lou Lou)

Marie Louise Hamilton, known by all as Lou Lou, passed away on December 24, 2024 in Oro Valley, Arizona.
Lou Lou was born in South Bend, Indiana in 1936. Her passion for sports began as a child playing with her siblings, on school teams and in many sports leagues throughout South Bend.
In 1952, after many years of playing in softball leagues, Lou Lou was chosen to be a bat girl for the South Bend Blue Socks, one of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League's teams. To her delight she tried out for the team in 1953 and became their relief pitcher and pitched in four games.
Moving from Indiana to California in 1955 began a new adventure, and of course, sports were always part of her life. Lou Lou had great success as a bowler, as a golfer she won 4 Golf Course Championships and had an astonishing 6 holes in one.
Moving to Oro Valley, Arizona afforded Lou Lou the opportunity to play golf and cultivate many friends.
Lou Lou is survived by her son, Kenny Corneilas, grandchildren Kristie and Korey, great granddaughter Olivia and many extended members.
Lou Lou will be greatly missed by the many friends and teammates she made throughout her wonderful life. She will be remembered for her kind words, wonderful compliments and zest for life.
Lou Lou requested that no service be held. Donations in her memory will be gladly accepted and can be made online at baseballforall.com for player scholarships.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
