Las Vegas, Nevada - Larry Ertman Megahan, age 83, of Tucson, AZ, formerly of Turtle Creek and Wilkins Townships, PA, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, July 11, 2025, in Las Vegas, NV.

Larry was the beloved father of Amy Megahan Duvall and Grandfather "Pap" of Anthony Saccone, Santino Saccone, and Trinity Duvall. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Bertha Megahan; siblings, Doris, Charles, Don, and David; and his wives, Susanna L. Megahan and Carol Neuhaus. He is survived by his nieces, Linda, Audri, Ellin, and Jennifer; nephew, Don; and many dear friends and extended family members.

A proud alumnus, Larry earned undergraduate degrees from California University of Pennsylvania and Arizona State University, followed by a postgraduate degree from Cornell University. He dedicated 30 years to teaching physics and astronomy at Penn Hills High School, where he also managed the planetarium program. Additionally, he served as Planetary Director for the Beulah Planetarium in Pittsburgh, PA, for many years.

An active member of the Elks Lodge 2815 in Catalina, AZ, Larry served as Exalted Ruler from 2009 to 2010. In his younger years, he was an enthusiastic outdoorsman, enjoying piloting his airplane, skydiving, hang gliding, biking, golfing, hunting, fishing, and traveling.Larry will be remembered as a loving father, devoted husband, loyal friend, and hardworking individual with a generous spirit.

Per his wishes, he was cremated, and his ashes will be placed on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, a place he held dear.
